Rub-A-Dub-Dub - Two Girls In A Tub

Kate loves to get in the tub with Claire. It's great fun for about 10 minutes. That's when she decides to stand up and take a stroll....so out she goes kicking and screaming.

Halloween 2009

We had a Cinderella,

a camera avoiding, non-costume wearing Sam, (I did get this shot as he tried to duck out.)

and a beautiful butterfly princess.

Isn't this the cutest?

She was a very busy butterfly walking all over our church's parking lot.

Stay tuned for a chance to vote for Kate in her costume in an upcoming online contest! :-)

Fall Family Night

Weinie Roast!

Kate wanted to be close to the fire-too close!

Claire designing a pumpkin face

She has never cared for the guts. When she was two she was afraid of them.

Someone should really bathe this kid.

The design. Claire drew it small and Larry enlarged it.

Sam's turn.

Serious concentration.

It's finished!

Their scared faces.

My Sweet Girls

Sisters having fun.

Quickly turns to "get off of me." Kate's not much on cuddling.

Tolerating Claire's attempts at sisterly love.

Well, it's not so bad is it, Kate?

Yeah, okay, she's done.

As American As...

She's thrilled to the core. Hardy Har Har!

Okay, seriously now, did you know that the smooth bottomed apples are tart and the bumpy ones (left) are sweet. Please tell me I'm not the only one that didn't know that.

What does this have to do with apples? She's the apple of my eye. I'm on a roll here.

Mixing the apple crisp.

The apple pie Claire and I made. Tomorrow: applesauce. I have LOTS of apples remaining from our orchard trip!
Claire is continuing on this week with her study of the book, "How to Make an Apple Pie and See the World." It is a humorous story about a girl that decides to make an apple pie but the store is closed, so she goes around the world collecting the ingredients. It has been a fun study. And bad for the diet. Which started today. Don't ask.

Fall Festival

The kids gear up for rock climbing. You'll notice I didn't post any pics of their efforts. They both only got about two inches off the ground. Ha!

Kate was feeding Daddy some brownies...

then she would give him a big kiss!

Jumping was a highlight.
