I'm calling this photo, "Adoration." The girls were just oohing and awwing over their baby cousin, Bonnie Kay. She is the most cuddly, little princess. We aren't going to spoil her at all.

First Picnic of 2011: February 15th!

Claire made a picnic lunch while I was finishing up some reading to Sam. I didn't know she had been so meticulous in the details of

adding their names to the Ziploc bags.

What a cute touch, even if the sandwiches were exactly the same in each. :-)

It was a wonderful 60 degree day, but sadly the butterflies were not cooperating with Kate. There wasn't a one to be found.

The Trouble With Kids Having Their Own Money

I think this indicates that the kids have discovered why their Easter/Halloween/Christmas/Valentine's Day candy disappears faster than expected.

Nerd Bird Alert

I'm afraid I must admit I have acquired a bit of a fascination with birds.

Does this mean I am officially old or maybe more mature?

I am completely avoiding the idea that perhaps I've become a nerd, or that (gasp) maybe I've always been one!

Let's just go with a more flattering conclusion that I have learned how to enjoy God's creation as I have ..ahem.. matured.

Ya know, on cold, snowy days you can lure them in with bread crumbs.

I don't have an official handbook or anything, but that may be cheating to true bird watchers.

But I figure they're hungry and I have a camera, so it's a win-win. And I hate to tell you, but if you are still with me you may have crossed into the

Baby Mania

A sweet sweater set I made for a friend's new baby

A super soft baby cardigan

Various headbands, cloches, and a baby bear hat

As you can see I have been indulging in my crochet obsession lately. Apart from the sweater set at the top, the rest of the items were made to donate to a benefit auction for a local family. I plan to make a few more for the auction if Kate takes great naps this week!
