Dreaming

I love the dreamy look on Kate's face in this rare moment of serenity.

Valentine Cuties

Claire and Kate model their sweet Valentine's Day hats from Aunt Betty.

Glorious

Goodness but the light bouncing off the snow and coming in our window was GLORIOUS for picture taking this morning during school. I had to grab my camera and photograph my beautiful children. Unbathed, unbrushed, oddly dressed (Claire's in a formal and Kate is in her pj's) but beautiful nonetheless.

A Moment of Ewwww!

Ewww, Kate, gross!

Oh, okay, it's a pea. Which really isn't that much better considering that is the same pea from her nose now on her finger. She loves shoving her dinner up her nose....unfortunately!

Mardi Gras Date Night

Claire and Daddy went to the Daddy/Daughter Date night dance at the Rec center Friday night. It was a Mardi Gras theme, and although most of the girls had no clue what that meant they all seemed to have fun. Claire loves dancing with Daddy, and that is all she needed to know!

Differences

For those of you not on Facebook, I present to you an extraordinary example of why men are from Mars and women are from Venus...

On Saturday I overheard this conversation: Sam says excitedly, "Guess what tomorrow is?" Claire says sweetly, "Valentine's Day!" Sam pauses and says, "What?...No! It's the Daytona 500!"

Dancing Daddy

Good thing Daddy is strong....he now has two girls that want to dance when he gets home!
Oh, and by the way, Claire is dressed up in my "Little House on the Prairie" dress from when I was her age. She decided to wear it all day today.

Hungry?

Come, let our chefs prepare you some treats!

I promise, she washed her hands!

Mmmm, football cookies

Oreo cake

Claire tastes to make sure it is edible.

And now for lunch...little pizzas!
Claire is studying a book about a pizzeria. So the kids made chefs hats and went to work in the kitchen. The chocolate goodies were Super Bowl party creations that Claire helped with.
