Cannonsburgh

First stop on our tour of Cannonsburgh was a school house.

Claire was the teacher.

Sam turned his back on the paddle.

They sat up very straight.

Sam had to have a potty break.

The little church was so pretty!

The kids checked out the well.

Claire ponders an old doctor's office.

Cannonsburgh is a replica of an old Southern
village. We also saw a grist mill, town hall, country store, and blacksmith's shop. However, keeping Kate out of the displays was not conducive to taking lots of pictures. At one point she was latched onto the barrier with most of her body on the other side while I tried to pry her off of it. I can only imagine the damage she could have done to those antiques...with no way for ME to get to her! The joys of almost-two-year-olds.
