Happy 1st birthday Kate!

Kate had a great 1st birthday party. We celebrated on Saturday with a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse party at our house. She received lots of toys, clothes, and books. The weather was beautiful, and it was a fun day.

Simple Summer

Vacations are great, but the kids are finding there are lots of simple pleasures in the summer...
Like....swinging upside down...
Or right-side-up in a cool pink swing...

Listening to the NASCAR race with the windows down watching fireworks on the 4th...

Flying!....

Bare feet, green grass, and a cool breeze...

Secret hideout tents in the living room...

With your sissy....

Bustin' moves on a scooter...

Hanging with friends on warm nights...

And keeping cool on hot days!

Happy 4th!

Boo to taxation without representation!
Yay for America! But if it weren't for the Revolutionary War...

I wouldn't get to wear cute clothes like this on the 4th of July! And I am pretty cute in this.

God Bless America!

Now go away so I can eat this leaf in private.

Humans 1, Mouse 2...As In Two Packs Of Our Cookies

Wanna know what's so exciting about this picture?
It's the fact that the arrow is pointing to the red line...the mouse dead section.
We've had a little issue this week. A mouse (or mice?!) decided that our house was her new summer vacation resort. How do I know it was a girl? Hmmm, well she had a whole pantry of food to choose from, and her choice was the Chips Ahoy double chocolate chip cookies. The next night we offered a little cheese (hidden in a trap.) Didn't want that. She chose the Oreos as her comfort food. I told Larry he was dealing with a mouse with PMS and he had to speak her language. You know, the language of women with PMS...chocolate. Oreo bait = one dead mouse. I'm thinking death by chocolate has an all new meaning for me, and that dying while covered in Oreo crumbs is quite possibly the best scenario if you gotta go. Whaddya think, ladies?
